Family Practice

The Doctor Is In is a caring, competent family practice where your needs are always met with compassion and efficiency.  We provide outpatient and inpatient care for patients of all ages from birth through their senior years.  In addition to treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases, we also provide continuing medical care, health maintenance, and preventative services.

Each of our fully equipped locations includes laboratory and x-ray services giving us the capability to treat more acute and serious injuries such as suturing of lacerations and evaluation and treatment of fractures. Our extended hours allow for walk-in care and scheduled visits at times when many other doctor's offices are closed. Our patients receive prompt attention to address their medical concerns.

Trained professionals at The Doctor Is In perform a full range of Occupational Medical Services including physicals, workers compensation, and drug testing.  Shorter waiting times, continuity of care, and prompt return-to-work reduce company costs and insurance premiums.  Each of our offices is equipped with x-ray, laboratory, and dedicated specimen collection facilities for drug testing.

Drug Testing

Drug and alcohol abuse constitute a significant problem in the workplace, contributing to low productivity, poor job performance, increased accidents, incidents of theft, and absenteeism.  Drug abusing employees incur 300% higher medical costs (US Chamber of Commerce) and are five times more likely to file a workers' compensation claim (US Department of Justice, DEA). 

One of the best ways employers can protect their business is to aggressively screen out alcohol or drug abusers before they become employees.  Drug tests can help identify substance abusers.  Additionally, drug and alcohol testing is recommended on a post-accident basis as it may help reduce employer liability. 

The Doctor Is In is a NIDA approved collection site for urine drug screening and has Certified Medical Review Officers (MRO) on staff.  Certified Breath Alcohol Technicians are available in all our offices.   We use only NIDA Certified Laboratories to process the tests. 

Once the decision to drug screen employees is determined, choosing the right facility to collect, process, and report your result is equally important.  Our rapid in house 8 panel test provides immediate results which can be reported on a same-day basis.  All non-negative results require confirmation which usually takes an additional 24 to 48 hours.  Turnaround time on specimens sent to an outside laboratory can be expected within 48 hours.  Results are communicated confidentially by telephone and a mailed printed copy.
